If the trader’s trades for explosives; pyrotechnic products; matches; pyrophoric alloys; certain combustible preparations then they will have to use the HSN CODE for the explosives; pyrotechnic products; matches; pyrophoric alloys; certain combustible preparations in the invoice or in the GST Return for identifications of the explosives; pyrotechnic products; matches; pyrophoric alloys; certain combustible preparations

According to the chapter-36 of section-6 – Notes

  1. This Chapter does not cover separate chemically defined compounds other than those described in Note 2(a) or 2(b) below.
  2. The expression “articles of combustible materials” in heading 3606 applies only to:
    (a) metaldehyde, hexamethylenetetramine, and similar substances put up in forms (for example, tablets, sticks or similar forms) for use as fuels; fuels with a basis of alcohol, and similarly prepared fuels, in solid or semi-solid form,
    (b) liquid or liquefied-gas fuels in containers of a kind used for filling or refilling cigarette or similar lighters and of a capacity not exceeding 300 cm3, and
    (c) resin torches, firelighters and the like.

Explanation.– For the purposes of this entry, handmade matches mean matches, in or in relation to the manufacture of which, none of the following processes is ordinarily carried on with the aid of power, namely: –
(i) Frame-filling;
(ii) Dipping of splints in the composition for match heads;
(iii)Filling of boxes with matches;
(iv) Pasting of labels on matchboxes, veneers or cardboards;
(v) Packaging
