  1. First of all search on google How to login e-filing home page or Income Tax Department or visit the Income-tax site-https://www.incometax.gov.in/
  2. Then click on the first link or above link
  3. You will be on the e-Filling Home page and click Login.
  4. Now you can log in with your registered user id which is your PAN No and with a created password.
  5. And If you are not registered then you will have to register yourself first by using your PAN No, NAME, or DOB.
  6. After having a user id or password you can log in to the e-filing portal.

In order to avoid any hassle for taxpayers, who may not have access to such mobile numbers/email, the two-factor authentication will be disabled during the initial period. During this period, taxpayers are requested to update their personal mobile number and email ID as the primary mobile/email in their profile to ensure smooth login once two-factor authentication is enabled.

  3. Now Confirm your Secure Access Message. Enter your Password and click Continue.
  4. Then select the option to receive the 6-digit OTP on the primary mobile number through voice call or Text Message. Click Continue.
  5. Now enter the 6-digit OTP received on your mobile number or email ID registered on the e-Filing portal and click Login.
  6. Note:
    1. OTP will be valid for 15 minutes only.
    2. You will have 3 attempts to enter the correct OTP.
    3. The OTP expiry countdown timer on the screen tells you when the OTP will expire.
    4. On clicking Resend OTP a new OTP will be generated.
    5. On successful validation, the e-Filing Dashboard is displayed.

  1. First of all, go to the e-Filing portal homepage and click Login.

In case of using Aadhaar OTP as a higher security option, log in with your user ID and password, and on the Higher Security Options page, click OTP on the mobile number registered with Aadhaar > Continue.

  1. First of all, Go to the e-Filing portal homepage and click Login. In case of using Net Banking as a higher security option, enter your user ID, and password and click Through Net Banking on the Higher Security Options page and go to the next step.
  2. If you have not opted for the e-Filing Vault Higher Security option, click the Net Banking option found at the bottom of the page under Other Ways to Access Your Account.
  3. Then choose the preferred bank and click on Continue.

  4. Then Select Bank Account EVC / Demat Account EVC and click Continue.
  5. Login using the EVC page is displayed. Click I already have an EVC.
  6. Note: If you do not have an EVC, click Generate EVC. You will receive the EVC on your mobile number registered with your bank / Demat account.
  7. Enter the EVC and click Login.
  8. Post successful validation, you will be taken to the e-Filing Dashboard.

  1. Firstly, Go to the e-Filing portal homepage and click Login.
  2. Then enter your PAN in the Enter your User ID textbox and click Continue.
  3. Then Confirm your Secure Access Message. Enter your Password and click Continue.
  4. Select the DSC Option and click on Continue.
  5. Select New DSC or Registered DSC (as required) and click Continue. Refer to the Register DSC user manual to learn more.
  6. Then Select I have downloaded and installed Emsigner utility and click Continue.
  7. Note: You can download and install the utility, using the hyperlink at the bottom of the page.
  8. On the Data Sign page, choose the Provider and Certificate. Enter the Provider Password and click Sign.

  2. then click Mobile App under Other ways to access your account.

  1. Firstly, Go to the e-Filing portal homepage and click Login.
  2. Then click Mobile App under Other ways to access your account.
  3. Then click Try another way to log in.
  4. Now select Time Based – One Time Password (t-OTP).
  5. You will be taken to the Login using the time-based – one-time password page. Open the ITD Mobile App, log in and click on Code Generator. A code with 30-second validity is displayed.
  6. Then enter the code on your system and click Continue.
  7. Post successful validation, you will be taken to the e-Filing Dashboard.
