UAN Number is one unique universal account number for all multiple EPF Account numbers received at the time of joining to new job or switching to jobs at any establishment in India.
UAN Number means a Universal Account Number allotted under the Employees Provident Fund in India. and UAN No acts as an umbrella for the multiple Members ID allotted to an individual by different establishments. How to get/generate a UAN Number first time yourself?
Then on the portal, Just click on the link ‘know your UAN’
Now enter any mobile Number and captcha to request OTP.
After verifying OTP, you will be confirmed by providing information such as name, DOB, and any ID number that you have provided.
After entering all the information, just click on the Share My UAN button.
then your UAN will show just write or copy and use for further facilities.
How to link Aadhar with UAN Number?
There are different ways to link Aadhar with UAN which can be used
You can use the Umang App, biometric credentials on the e-KYC Portal, or OTP verification on the e-KYC Portal of EPFO to link Aadhar. For this just use these steps-
First of all, visit the EPFO website.
Then on-site, in the online services option just click on e-KYC Portal.
Now on the new window, click on the link UAN Aadhaar.
Here just enter UAN and mobile no, generate OTP, and confirm.
Then enter your gender and Aadhaar Number.
and use the Aadhaar verification mode and submit with a captcha.
and then your Aadhar will be linked to UAN.
How to download or print a UAN Card?
First of all, visit the EPF member portal online.
Then login with UAN and password.
After login, go to the View tab then click on UAN CARD.
Now your UAN card will show just download in PDF format.
or get print.
What will happen to UAN in case of a change in job?
When you change the job, you need to give the UAN to the new employer.
The employer links the new PF account to it.
The UAN remains the same throughout the employee’s career.
How does the UAN Number help in transferring the EPF account?
First of all, Check the PF eligibility and ensure all the present and previous employers’ records are presently online at EPFO
Upload the digital signature online
In order to file a transfer online, you have to register yourself on the EPFO portal
After logging into the EPF member portal, select the option to transfer your account
Then Fill in all three parts of the form
Select the attesting authority and member ID/UAN and click on “Get OTP”
An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter this OTP to continue
Your form will be submitted and you will get a tracking ID
Take the printout of the transfer form and submit it to the current employer
What to do if a UAN update is pending at the field office?
At times the UAN update process is delayed at the hands of the authorities.
However, you can request the concerned commissioner or register a complaint under the EPFIGMS portal.

First of all, log in to your current UAN account
then select ‘One member One EPF account’

How to check UAN status online?
The members of EPFO can check the status of their UAN application by providing the state and EPFO account number on the portal.
For this, You can go to Our Services>For Employees>Member UAN/Online Service>Know UAN Status.
Why is my UAN KYC pending?
As per the EPF portal, It generally takes 3 to 5 days for the related documents to be viewed and approved.
If your UAN KYC is pending for more than 7-8 days, you can file a complaint or reach the regional EPFO officer through the help desk online
or can call 1800 118 005.
What to do if two UANs get allotted?
In this case, the employee has to inform the EPFO helpdesk immediately.
After all the necessary verification, the old UAN will be blocked.
What can be done if the wrong information is mentioned on your EPF card?
If you want to change your father’s name, your name, or DOB, it can be done by presenting valid documents to the current employer.
And also, the same can be communicated to the EPFO helpdesk to get the necessary changes done on the UAN card.
What information does the UAN card hold?
The UAN card contains information about the universal account number.
And the KYC details (if verified by the employer) on the front.
